Photographic Exhibition – Roots to a Better World

We are looking for your inspirational images of Transition in action!

But why?

Transition Scotland Support would like to hold a photographic exhibition at the Scottish Gathering and Transition Network Conference 2, in November. We are calling on communities to submit their best images to be entered into the exhibition as a celebration of the work and effort that is being put in across Scotland.  The images will be displayed along with stories and words of inspiration from communities.

What's in it for you?

We expect the exhibition to be viewed by 200 people over the conference, and are also looking at the possibility of putting the exhibition on 'tour' to communities next year.

Each of the images will be printed up on canvas for exhibition and the community will receive this back for their use once the exhibition is over.

How to take part

You will need to register for the site and login first to view the entry form). Images should not be less than 2400 x 1600 pixels (4 mega pixels) and not more than 5Mb in size in JPG format. Please do not send us anything less than 1Mb as it may not be high enough resolution to print.

But all of my photos are blurry/ have my finger over the lens/ cut off bits of folks' bodies...

Good news! For the first 10 communities who would like to be involved, but have no images they want to submit, we will organise for a professional photographer to meet with you and take some images of the group and the work that you've done. If you are interested in this opportunity please email us or call 07825 970005.

Closing date for submissions is 31 October 2010
