The Heart of Transition, Connecting the Heart & Soul of Transition

that will help to tell their stories. The main ideas behind the questionnaire are to find out what the groups across United Kingdom and worldwide are doing and then share this information via the Transition Network website and on Transitionheart.ning.com. We also hope to gather resources to share, and if there’s interest, organize events or networking meetings for local groups.
The survey was announced a few days ago in the Transition Network Newsletter and we are starting to receive replies from places including Los Angeles, Granja Viana in Brazil, Canada and some UK places too. Already we can see that groups see Inner Transition in very different ways – so please contribute your experience, past or present!
The research has been put together by three of us – Sophy from Transition Town Totnes along with Heloisa and Juliana, both Brazilians and coincidently in Totnes at this time. It follows Juliana’s inquiry around engaging social complexity as a way to personal and community resilience, which she will deepen with the findings of this survey and weave together in her dissertation as a Holistic Science Master’s student at Schumacher College.
We know this online questionnaire is not as warming as it would be to sit for a chat together, but it is how we can afford to do it for now. Meanwhile, here’s a suggestion: get your homemade cake, herbal (local) tea, make yourself comfortable and we'll go through this together...
Oh, one more thing: Help us to spread the word, if you can, to friends you know are part of Inner Transition groups. Even if the groups aren’t meeting now we’d love to know their stories. We look forward to hearing from you!
