The Pishwanton Project

Just came upon this site, http://pishwanton.org/ and felt quite excited about it.

What a wonderful example of sustainable living and returning to the land.

I really like the way they seem to be marrying care for people with care for the natural environment.

If anyone fancies going on one of their courses there is one coming up on natural beekeeping in July which could be worth a look.

Local produce comes into its own in the big freeze!

Having been into my local supermarket a couple of times in the last couple of weeks has been a real testament to how fragile things are and how dependant we have become on food from further afield.

Whole isles with virtually no vegetables to speak of, freezer compartments completely empty and little or no bread on the shelves or milk in the chill cabinet.

In sharp contrast, my veg box arrived on time as normal and with a smile. What a joy it is to support the local farmers and such a stark reminder of why local is so important.

Keep warm and safe everyone
