First local currency in a Scottish town

Last year there was a  special Currency Sub  group of a Greener Hawick TT intent on creating a local currency for Hawick. That came to nothing. Then gradually a few others got interested and decided we should go ahead.  

Looking back the whole thing seems pretty crazy. 
 
After all there was funding from Awards for All.

During my master study year I conducted research in order to work against the barriers for people to start growing food. To engage with the people I created an interactive questionnaire kit; people would pick up the statement that appeals most from an illustrative book and stick it to paper.
